I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
